What is a "mailserver":
A mailserver is a piece of extended software, built to receive and distribute email to its clients: it relays the messages directly to Mail exchangers, bypassing your ISP.
We use the Argo-Soft mailserver, one of the best of it's kind, featured with spam-blocking, IP-blocking, SMTP authoristation and much much more, including your own webmail features with pre-built templates. Its solid and understandable. There are 3 versions, so you can make a choice, exactly meeting your needs. All version have webinterfaces for remote editing and control.
ArGoSoft Mail Server is fully functional SMTP/POP3/Finger (Pro version also has IMAP module) server for Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP, which will let you turn your computer into a sophisticated email system. It's very compact, takes about 1-5 Mb of disk space (depending on the version), does not have any specific memory requirements, and what is the most important - it's very easy to use.
